At the tail-end of 2007, Look Records released The Message Uni Versa by Georgia Anne Muldrow and Dudley Perkins using the pseudonym G&D. Their next collaborative offering was an overlooked CD-only release with 2Tall handling all production.
I had been invited by Stu Robinson to spin at his Cosmic Boogie residency at The Magnet, Liverpool’s haven for truly eclectic dance music. The Fishtank is a tiny back room in the underground club, I was playing at 4am and I wanted to open my set with something low down and deep.
In this edit I’ve built loops from short sections of the track, stripped out the verses and emphasised the groove, turning the head-nodding original into a slow-paced dance floor burner.
